The tradition of cushions or duvets filled with cherry stones comes from an old Swiss custom. During the day, they were left next to the stove to warm up, before giving off their beneficial warmth at night. Today, heated in a microwave oven, this cushion will retain a gentle, soothing warmth for a few hours, helping to dissipate tension. Similarly, a few minutes in the freezer will be enough to give you long moments of freshness.
Heat the cushion in the microwave at 700 watts for up to 1 minute.
